We are hiring on behalf of our client, a growing U.S.-based accounting firm, that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Accountant to strengthen their financial operations, ensure accuracy, and support continued expansion.
This is not an entry-level role. The right person will have 5–7 years of proven accounting experience with U.S. companies and a strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. What You’ll Do
- Oversee core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP across journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger records
- Prepare precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a strong commitment to timeliness and quality
- Support month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with audits and maintain strict adherence to compliance standards
- Review and analyze financial data, providing actionable insights while maintaining integrity of reporting
- Collaborate with the U.S.-based team via Zoom, Teams, and email
- Train and support junior staff as needed, reinforcing quality and accuracy standards
- Communicate directly with clients to clarify financial information, answer questions, and provide updates as needed
- Take ownership of assigned client accounts, ensuring deadlines are met and financial reports are reliable and audit-ready
- Partner with leadership on process improvements and recommend best practices to strengthen client accounting operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–7 years of professional accounting experience, including direct work with U.S. companies
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and compliance standards
- Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality financial work under tight deadlines
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to clients and colleagues
