Information Systems Manager
Summary
The Information Systems Manager is responsible for the effective management, security, and optimization of AATB’s technology platforms. The manager plans, implements, and maintains the organization’s IT infrastructure including hardware, software, and network systems to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. Robust data security, system integrity, and adherence to best practices are prioritized, with proactive enhancements made to optimize user experience. By working closely with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals, the manager plays a critical role in supporting AATB’s operations and ensuring that technology solutions remain effective and forward-thinking.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assume full ownership of the organization's technology systems by proactively monitoring performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring seamless integration.
Lead the analysis, implementation, and integration of technology systems by identifying user needs, documenting system requirements, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Proactively monitor and maintain technology systems to improve performance, resolve issues in-house when possible, and escalate to vendors only when necessary, ensuring seamless daily operations.
Manage vendor relationships and the managed services partner (MSP) by overseeing performance, ensuring contractual compliance, and facilitating timely support and implementation of technology solutions.
Coordinate with vendors and developers as the staff Project Manager to document systems, monitor services, and ensure timely delivery of updates or new implementations.
Administer application security by configuring user access levels, groups, and permissions to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure.
Optimize infrastructure performance and reliability by planning timely updates and upgrades, executing user testing, and developing downtime mitigation and recovery strategies.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system policies, standard operating procedures, business requirements, and report specifications.
Oversee data governance and configuration by maintaining data integrity, ensuring compliance with data handling guidelines, and managing association management systems (AMS) items such as automated emails and backend reports.
Develop and deliver systems training and resources to enhance staff knowledge and ensure confident, consistent use of platforms.
Build and maintain reports across multiple platforms (i.e. AMS, LMS, accreditation systems, etc.) to support user and stakeholder needs while also maintaining council and committee rosters.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role, managing information systems, databases, and system integrations, with increasing levels of autonomy and leadership.
Demonstrated experience working with an AMS, including managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting platform functionality.
Advanced proficiency in managing community platforms, learning management systems, and accreditation systems, with demonstrated ability to implement and troubleshoot the tools effectively.
Understanding of access-level systems, permission structures, and how platforms integrate to support organizational workflows.
Ability to assess, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions based on strategic fit, usability, and ecosystem alignment.
Proficiency in the use and administration of Microsoft 365 applications.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude, along with the ability to think creatively and take initiative.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work effectively as a team player and excel independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and system manuals.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with diverse audiences at all levels.
Work Environment
This is a remote position.
Ability to use standards office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, open filing cabinets, bend and stand as necessary.
Salary Range: $104,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience.
Travel : This position requires 0-10% travel annually.
